Orchardgrass is an introduced, cool season, forage-type grass that is found in much of the United States and Canada. This long-lived perennial bunchgrass is a valued specie in pastures and rangelands.
- Potomac variety is a high quality forage variety and is early maturing
- With good management, high forage output is possible
- Very good forage quality for all classes of livestock and wildlife
- Seeding dates of March to May and August to September
- Allow grazing after 4 inch height and allow for a recovery period to prevent over-grazing
