Weeping Lovegrass is a warm-season, perennial bunchgrass. It grows to a height of 2-4 feet and has 1/4" leaves of 10 to 20 inches in length. The long folding leaves suggest is name "weeping". Seed heads are erect or drooping and produce small very numerous seeds (1.5 million per lb.). Weeping Lovegrass is established easily by seeds and spread by tillering. Over a year’s time, a single plant can grow to a diameter of 12-15 inches.

AREA OF ADAPTATION: Weeping Lovegrass grows best in the Southern Great Plains areas including Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, and in the Southern parts of New Mexico, Nevada and California (East of the mountains). Used for pasture (early spring/fall), hay, erosion control and for steep bank areas throughout Western Plains and also used in transition zone of Eastern USA primarily for forage and erosion control.
