This is a wetland type perennial grass often found in swamps, around ponds, wet meadows and roadside ditches.
AREA OF ADAPTATION: Rice Cut Grass grows in full sun and can get 4-5 ft tall when mature with broad green leaves. This is a warm season type of grass that is very slow to establish, but is excellent for wildlife feed and habitat.
PLANTING: Rice Cut Grass seeds require a dormancy periond of 180 to 279 days, so recommended planting time late summer or early fall.
