Star Seed

An attractive annual or tender perennial native to Europe, but has naturalized throughout the United States. The generous rosepink flowers are arranged in compact clusters radiating from a slender stem. Thrives in full sun or partial shade in various soil types. Makes a breathtaking display when planted in mass.

Catchfly has an averagle planting success of 80 percent and grows up to 1-2 feet. The stem exudes a sticky sap that captures small insects that try to steal nectar without pollinating the flowers, hence the name Catchfly. Its blooming period is from May to September and is used for floarl gardens, roadsides, and disturbed areas.
